Music bots have been disappearing in waves, and the survivors have moved their basic functions behind subscriptions. Nephthys ships playback as an ordinary module: search, play, manage the queue, repeat, adjust the volume, complete and without tiers.
/play takes a link or a search term. So you do not have to go hunting for the right URL in another tab, you just type what you want to hear. If something is already playing, the track joins the queue instead of cutting off what is running.
/queue shows what is coming up page by page, /skip moves on, /shuffle mixes it up. With several people in the channel it stays clear who queued what, and the most common argument about listening together is simply not knowing what plays next.
/pause and /resume hold and continue, /volume sets the level for everyone in the channel, /nowplaying shows the current track with its progress. /loop offers several modes: repeat a single track or the whole queue. /stop ends playback and clears the list.
These slash commands belong to this module. Discord shows them with a description as you type, so nobody has to memorise them.
/play/queue/skip/loop/volume/nowplayingNo. Nephthys has no premium tier and no feature that unlocks only after payment. Anyone who wants to support the project can do so through Ko-fi or Patreon, but that does not unlock anything extra.
Yes, /play requires you to be in a voice channel, because that is where the bot connects. It also stops anyone from disrupting playback from a different channel.
The queue is built for normal server use and is shown page by page through /queue. /stop clears it completely, and /shuffle reorders whatever is left.
