A level system that makes activity visible and worth having

A server lives on people actually posting. Nephthys turns those posts into XP, shows every member their progress on a rendered rank card and puts it all into a leaderboard. It costs nobody any effort and gives quiet lurkers a reason to finally write something.

Rank cards people like to share

/rank renders an image with avatar, level, an XP progress bar and rank, not a wall of text but a card that looks like something in chat. Anyone who just wants a quick look at their own standing uses /myrank. These cards are what members compare with each other, and they are what keeps the system alive.

A leaderboard for the whole server

/leaderboard lists the most active members page by page. That creates friendly competition without anyone having to organise it, and it shows at a glance who actually carries the server. Often that is not the people with the flashiest roles.

Full control over how XP is granted

/xp add, /xp set and /xp reset let you step in directly: award points for something that happened outside chat, correct a total, or wipe the board at the start of a season. In the dashboard you additionally decide which channels count and which roles are granted automatically at which level.

The commands for this

These slash commands belong to this module. Discord shows them with a description as you type, so nobody has to memorise them.

  • /rank
  • /myrank
  • /leaderboard
  • /xp

Frequently asked questions

Do people get XP for spamming?

No. There is a cooldown between two counted messages, so firing off posts in quick succession gains nothing. You can also exclude channels in the dashboard where activity should not count (bot or spam channels, for instance).

Can roles be granted automatically at a certain level?

Yes, level roles are mapped in the dashboard. Once a member reaches the configured level, Nephthys grants the role on its own. That is useful for unlocking channels or posting rights only after some activity.

Can the level system be turned off?

Yes. Leveling is its own module and can be disabled completely in the dashboard without affecting any other feature.
